EXPLORE HISTORY
Southern Arizona is steeped in history that is highly concentrated the area surrounding Kenyon Ranch and the city of Tubac. Visit historic missions like San Xavier del Bac or the Tumacarori Historical Park; or venture to the city of Tubac and spend time shopping and exploring the arts district.
Situated in the foothills of the Tumacacori mountains and just southwest of the Santa Rita mountains, Kenyon Ranch has many great hiking trails nearby including the historic Anza Trail that runs between Tubac and Tumacacori and those in Madera Canyon.
san xavier del bac
Just over 30 minutes north of the ranch lies the Spanish mission San Xavier del Bac. The mission was founded by Father Kino in 1692, and the remaining construction was built in the late 1700s.
Tumacacori
Four miles south of the ranch is the Tumacacori National Historical Park that features the preserved remains of the Spanish mission San Jose de Tumacacori. The park has a museum and visitor center.
HISTORIC TUBAC
Tubac has an arts district with eclectic shops and fine art galleries, featuring seasonal exhibits and arts programming. Visit museums and explore the colorful history and architecture throughout the city.
